Questions, answered

The things most often asked, answered plainly

Booking & dates

  • How far in advance should we book?
Most weddings are confirmed 9 to 18 months ahead. We hold one date at a time without exception, so the calendar can move quickly in peak months.
  • Is the chateau ours alone?
Yes. Every booking is a private buyout. There are no other weddings, no overnight visitors, and no shared spaces during your stay.
  • What is the minimum stay?
Three nights — the unhurried shape of a wedding weekend. We do not host single-day events.

Stay & guests

  • How many guests can stay at the chateau?
We host up to eight guests in residence. The estate is sized for the wedding party, not for a hundred-person reception.
  • Are children welcome?
Always. Each room can accommodate children with prior notice; we have a small selection of cots and high chairs on site.

Food & wine

  • Who handles catering?
A small in-house team plans every meal of your stay, working from local growers in Charente. Menus are tailored to the couple, not chosen from a fixed list.
  • Can dietary needs be met?
Yes. Allergies, intolerances, and preferences are accommodated when they are shared with us in advance.

Arrival & accessibility

  • Where is the chateau?
We are in northern Charente, three hours by train from Paris and one hour from Bordeaux. Detailed travel notes are sent on confirmation.
  • Is the property accessible?
The ground floor is step-free, including the salons and the dining room. Bedrooms are on the upper floors and accessed by historic stone stairs; we are happy to discuss arrangements in advance.
